Approximately 50,000 examinations are performed annually at the Baylor Sammons Breast Imaging Center at Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) in downtown Dallas. These services include: - High resolution Full-Field Digital Mammographic examinations - Physician performed Breast Sonography - Breast physical examination - Ultrasound guided needle localizations and core needle biopsies - Stereo-tactically guided localizations and Mammotome biopsies - Digital Ductography All breast examinations are performed in the main Radiology Department at BUMC. ARA provides the best of the best with six full-time Fellowship-trained Breast Imagers with additional professionals who work in Breast and Body Imaging. All of the Breast Imagers are faculty in the department of Oncology and provide comprehensive, coordinated, and specialized care to all patients. In order to better meet the demands of our clients, a satellite office of the Baylor Sammons Breast Imaging Center is opening in North Dallas. This new facility will be able to perform close to 50% of the number of exams performed at the BUMC office. And, all services provided at BUMC will be provided at this particular office.
