Combined knowledge means better results. Virtually all of the body imaging division read body MRI cases. However, the MRI division interprets a more concentrated array of cases and provides consultation to the remainder of the group for assistance, especially with difficult cases. We use MR systems from all major vendors throughout the practice, including GE, Siemens, and Philips systems. High-field 1.5T systems, with high performance gradients for cardiovascular applications, open new avenues for patients including magnetic resonance systems designed for large and claustrophobic patients as well as extremity MR imaging for rheumatologic applications.
